Landscape:10.22.9

Phew, this is the largest landscape I have attempted so
far, 20x16. I went out to the greenbelt to do a field study,
and then with the study and a photo I completed a large
painting in my studio. I felt as if I was in control from the
very beginning to completion.

Plein air

I had an amaazing weekend which was
filled with lots of pleasant learning
and painting! Okay, I have to put into
practice what I've been taught:

on painting the flow of light

These were done on Sunday during the 30min
pose session held at the AVAA building. I'm
enjoying the shorter painting sessions more
than I had in the past, 30 mins is enough
time to create a pleasing composition, which
means getting the whole down on canvas.

Figure update:10/10/9

After having painted the model from the session
I later went home and fixed a few problems that
had been bugging me.

10.3.9 Figure update

I enjoyed the painting process and had
fun on this painting but still lacked
the understanding that I had wanted.
Later that day I learned some revealing
things that I shall put into practice.

Portrait:10.2.9

Here is a portrait that I had painted earlier
today during Eve Larson's session. It was
too messy so I wiped it after snapping the
photo for evidence of this fact. Afterall, a
canvas wiped today is a canvas good for
another day.
